The clayey soil, very stony and shallow, provides very characteristic mineral notes.
Wines
A red wine is made from Syrah grapes, fermented in stainless steel tanks, matured in new oak barrels and then in bottles. Also a white wine made from Viognier grapes, a variety of which there are very few hectares in the world. It is a very exclusive wine of excellent quality.
The name of the wines, Iamontanum, is the genitive of Iamona, the name of Ciutadella in Roman times. This name indicates its origin and reinforces its identification with the territory in which it is produced.
With a production of 5,000 bottles, they have received several awards, including 95 points from the Parker Guide for the 2010 Iamontanum Negre.

History
Located in Ciutadella de Menorca, on the south coast of the island, very close to the beach of Cala en Turqueta, this is an estate of 80 hectares, where the second generation of the Casasnovas family has been making wine since 2009.
It was formerly a cattle farm dedicated to cheese production until the first vines were planted.
Vineyards
The vineyards occupy five hectares in plots with a slight slope to the south, which protects them from the strong north wind and provides good drainage and sunshine. They are planted on a clay loam soil, very stony and shallow, which provides very characteristic mineral notes.
