The protected geographical indication Vi de Menorca has been incorporating a new grape variety since the beginning of 2025: the white and black garnacha . The island’s climate makes this variety perfect for obtaining, they say, a very good quality wine . In this sense, the first bottles have already begun to come out, which are marketed under the name Vi de la Terra-Illa de Menorca and one of the first wineries to do so was Torralba, which decided to firmly commit to this variety, to the point of including it in the Protected Geographical Indication (PGI).
