Menorca\u2019s wine sector is experiencing one of the most solid moments of the past decades, and this momentum will gain international visibility from 9th to 11th February with its participation in Wine Paris<\/span><\/span><\/strong>, the leading wine trade fair in Europe. The Menorca Wine Producers\u2019 Association will take part collectively for the first time, within the Balearic Islands\u2019 institutional stand.<\/p>\n

This presence is no coincidence, but rather the result of a sector that has steadily strengthened its foundations, confidence and visibility. Recent production figures confirm this positive trend: the 2025 harvest reached 2,394 hectolitres under the Protected Geographical Indication Vi de la Terra Illa de Menorca<\/em>, representing a 27% increase compared to the previous year and the highest volume recorded in the last thirty years.<\/p>\n

A growing sector with a strong identity<\/h3>\n

Menorca currently has 175 hectares of registered vineyards, a surface area that continues to expand year after year, along with an increasingly balanced production of white, red and ros\u00e9 wines. Beyond the figures, the sector stands out for its clear commitment to quality, its close connection to the territory and viticultural practices adapted to the island\u2019s landscape and climate.<\/p>\n

In this context, participating in Wine Paris marks a strategic step forward. The aim is to present the latest vintages, establish commercial contacts, open new markets and place Menorca firmly on the international wine map, while continuing to strengthen ties with the local audience.<\/p>\n

Paris as a gateway to the world<\/h3>\n

Menorca\u2019s presence at the fair forms part of an initiative promoted by the Balearic Government\u2019s Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Natural Environment, with the collaboration of the Menorca Island Council. This institutional support reinforces the role of quality agri-food products as key drivers of the island\u2019s economy.<\/p>\n

Wine Paris offers a privileged platform to communicate what makes Menorcan wine unique: limited productions, grape varieties adapted to the territory, a strong link to the landscape and an understanding of wine as a cultural expression beyond the product itself.<\/p>\n

Looking ahead<\/h3>\n

Participation in Wine Paris is not an end in itself, but part of a broader medium-term strategy.
